I was talking to my friend about the typhoon in Taiwan that I watched on TV last Saturday:
Friend: Was it serious?
Me: Plenty serious. Very scary lor.
Friend: How scary? Got things fly around?
Me: Got ar. Very strong wind, even chairs also fly sia.
Friend: Got people fly or not??
Silence.
Friend: How come we never see people fly on TV one de?
Silence.
Friend: Oh. Not possible hor.
Ya ya. Maybe we can see people fly around during typhoons, then maybe we can see someone wooshed past the TV screen, and we can scream, "Hey, that looks like my friend! He's on National TV! Woww!!! ...How come he never wave huh. Tsk. Act cool only."
