Met up with a group of friends last Saturday, and it was fun, as usual.
I haven't met them for 3 years. The organizer had actually been trying to organize the meeting for 7 months! Gosh. Are we really so busy??
I think we haven't change much; we are still as goofy as ever. There are a lot of updates as we dined at Amirah's Grill Restaurant and Café at 20 Pahang Street. Nice ambience, good food, Arab style.
After that we proceed to a friend's café to chill: Pitch Black at 63 Haji Lane, and nope it's not a pub, heh. The teacher came in clubbing attire. Let's just say he was mildly surprised when another teacher with us greeted him in, erm, shorts.
But Pitch BlackCafé is a really cool place for chilling out. Small, cozy, and unique. Spend a minimum of $5 and you can even go upstairs to watch movie (remember to check the timing at the website before you visit). There are sofas, and you can drink and eat as you watch; and because it's small you don't get pesky children running about, nor anyone walking past you to get to their seats as you watch.
It's a very comfortable place to hang out with friends, and even though you have to walk a fair distance, it is still worth it. Visit here to access their website.
There's something about meeting friends you had not been seeing for years. You will worry before you go, wondering if there will be a lack of topics to talk about, whether anyone has changed, blah blah.
But when you get together, everything just clicks and it's just like old times. Sure, you know things had changed, but it's still just like old times.
